TNS-Infoplan is committed to complying with the corresponding domestic legislation, international code of conduct as defined by such international market research associations as ICC/ESOMAR, as well as by the domestic industry code of conduct stipulated by the Japan Market Research Association. We pay our utmost attention to executing all kinds of measures in compliance with these legal/industry codes. Here is TNS-Infoplan's promise to do more than are we obliged to, as regards protecting personal information we obtain through our interviews and questionnaires from survey participants.
TNS-Infoplan emphasizes that we give survey participants a 100% freedom at any point of any research studies when we obtain their personal information for our own use, and provide a third party with it for our own projects. We leave each and every respondent strictly anonymous at any point of individual projects.
TNS-Infoplan takes stringent measures to prevent unlawful potential access to, and unintentional loss/destruction/alteration/leakage of personal information by strictly controlling entries into and departures from the space where personal information is stored. Also by executing our pre-determined procedures to store and destroy such information, assigning ID/password, putting in-house servers under regular security maintenance, and using updated firewalls The detailed procedures are spelled out in the Code of Personal Information Security, according to which our staff members and other personnel involved operate.
In executing projects that deal with personal information, TNS-Infoplan complies with the relevant domestic legislation, as well as the Marker Research Code of Conduct.
TNS-Infoplan puts all employees, and all other personnel involved in a full compliance with what is stipulated in the Code of Personal Information Security, executes a regular audit on them, reviews our internal institution, and improves on it.
TNS-Infoplan emphasizes that all of our staff people fully understand these preventive measures and code of conduct, and that we pay utmost attention to every detail in this area when we execute each and every project that are assigned to us.
